Crafting To The Holidays!

I am so excited for Christmas.

Let me re-phrase that.  I am crazy-pants excited for Christmas.  I have already been listening to Christmas music for three weeks.  Eli has been making Christmas related cards and pictures and has already written a half a dozen letters to Santa.

And I have done a little Christmasing myself.

I have started on knitted holiday gifts...which have been super fun.  I have planned out the kids Advent activities, including writing riddles and treasure hunt clues in the form of poems.  I have also started some holiday crafting.  Eeeek!  So exciting!  I have to say, Pinterest has added fuel to my Christmas flame.

Ruffled Tree Skirt: Inspiration from Prudent Baby .  They actually have directions for this little DIY project.  I however, despise directions and so forged my own path....which caused some adversity, to say the least.  I used my old felt tree skirt as a base.

 I started out with:
Don't you love these colors?!

And ended with:

No, it is not perfect.  It is not even what I had planned on it looking like...and it took me a good two weeks longer than the two days I had envisioned, but it is done.  And I am pretty pleased with the results.

I had a few more things up my sleeves before Christmas arrives...so I better get crackin'!
