This December has been jam packed with activity.
One of our favorites, though, was our annual trip to the Macy's 8th Floor Christmas display. We have now seen "A Day in the Life of an Elf" for four years running, but the magic of it is still there. Eli picked out details he missed in previous visits, while Lucy marveled at it all.
In front of the Countdown to Christmas Clock! Almost there!
Look at the silly reindeer! He is just itching to deliver those Christmas presents!
At the end of the display, we waited patiently for a chance to visit with the Big Guy.
Whispering secrets to Santa.
Lucy was a little nervous, but did not fuss or fret. Eli was ecstatic. His only request was for a Cars 2 remote control car.
Before heading out into the Minnesota cold, we stopped for a quick picture by the big tree in the IBS building. Eli swears it is a magic tree.
And then, into the cold for the Hollidazzle parade.
No sugar coating it, it was cold. Extremely cold.
But this sight made it worth it all.....
Eli was reminiscent of "Buddy the Elf" when he saw Santa.
No joke.
On another note....look what Candy Cane presented with this week....
Did you know that there was a mistletoe shortage? And of course, Candy Cane (not mom, who came up with the clever little idea and knit it...in front of the kids) gets credit for the craftiness. ; )
Merry Christmas!
